Paris Motor Show to debut Mokka X and Zafira Tourer 0
Both the interior and exterior has been redesigned on the Mokka X, the model also features a new powertrain and Onstar and Apple CarPlay.
The Mokka X has proved popular with customers since its launch back in 2012, with over 500,000 having been sold in Europe, and nearly 100,000 in the UK alone.
Taking inspiration from Vauxhall’s new design mantra, the Mokka X is the first vehicle to incorporate the ‘X’ segment identifier for future Vauxhall SUV and crossover vehicles.
The car’s new look is the work of the UK’s Mark Adams and his design team.
The cars new front features a wing-shaped horizontal front grille and sharp double-wing signature of the LED daytime running lights.
The rear sees another double wing signature highlighted in the tail lamps. LED technology is an option and the new colours used are described as ‘amber orange’ and ‘lava red’.
In the cabin, the Mokka X dashboard is all-new and has been inspired by the new Astra.
Following their introduction of the highly praised ‘whisper diesel’ engine in 2015, the Mokka range has been expanded further to incorporate a new generation 1.4-litre injection turbo (152PS) petrol unit which was first seen in the Astra.
The Mokka has six-speed automatic transmission, adaptive all-wheel drive and start/stop, and achieves 43.5mpg and CO2 emissions of 150g/hm.
Another new feature is the LED adaptive forward lighting headlamps.
The new Vauxhall Zafira Tourer will be priced from £18,615 on-the-road and also features a new interior/exterior.
The latest edition includes all the familiar features of its predecessor, such as the Flex7 seating system, AGR front seats, the Flex-Fix bicycle carrier and FlexRide adaptive damping.
The new Zafira Tourer range includes Design, Energy, SRi, SRi Nav, SE, Tech Line, Elite and Elite Nav trim levels.
It features the latest generation Vauxhall IntelliLink infotainment systems with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility and OnStar, including 4G/LTE Wi-Fi hotspot.
Vauxhall has also introduced full LED adaptive forward lighting headlamps to the Zafira Tourer range.
