What Have We Learned About the 2017 Vauxhall Insignia Recently? 0
The 2017 Vauxhall Insignia has recently been spotted racing around the Nürburgring in what is assumed to be the latter stages of testing before its big release next year. The vehicle, which is rumoured to be displayed at either the Frankfurt or Geneva Motor Shows in 2017, will attempt to push forward the ever growing fortunes of Opel and Vauxhall. So what looks different and how will the company’s fortunes be changed because of this vehicle?
The images of the 2017 Vauxhall Insignia captured recently do not give too much away at all. But, it is understood that the vehicle is much bigger than the previous version. Not only does it have a wider architecture which has created room for a much larger boot, but with more interior space, the car has also apparently lost around 140kg. The roof also seems to be a lot lower than the first generation of the Insignia. This subtle change will allow for lower drag and a much higher mpg. Vauxhall are really taking the design and production of their vehicles extremely seriously and the results as displayed with the new Astra, are enormously beneficial for the company.
The vehicle was also captured sporting OPC alloys, bigger wheels and Cadillac brake Caliplers. So many in the motoring world believe that the Insignia is either attempting to break into a slightly more luxurious category or, they are testing the vehicles ability to perform with bigger wheels.
It is rumoured that the Insignia will come in a five-door hatch and Sports Tourer. A wagon will then follow around six months later. Either way, Vauxhall have certainly got their sights on big prizes and hope to replicate the success of the Astra. We are sure that this will happen as the company have invested hard into assuring quality in their new vehicles, and they are certainly being rewarded by this effort too…
